2023 Walk for Love

About

You are invited to join us at our 2023 Walk for Love.

This event will start and finish at:

Australian Lutheran College, corner Ward St & Jeffcott St, North Adelaide

There are two distances to choose from:

• 3km (pram, dog and wheelchair friendly) or
• 7km (a little more challenging)

When you register you will be asked to choose one of the following walk times:

• 8am 
• 9am
• 10am 
• 11am

Please be ready to walk within the hour you nominate.

There is no cost to register, however, we ask you to dig deep and make a personal gift to help us cover the cost of the Walk and to support patient care. Your gift will provide care for patients and families in Mary Potter Hospice, Calvary's Palliative Home Care Service and Calvary Central Districts.

You could even go one step further and do something extra special - fundraise among your friends, family, and colleagues, by asking them to support you with a small donation.

Their small gift will make a big difference for patients and families in our care.

Once you have registered, you will receive a Welcome Pack in the post.

Note: Welcome packs for registrations made after 14 May will be available at the Event Info Desk on the day.

Your Welcome Pack will include everything you need to know about the event including your walk time, a fundraising tips sheet, a map and most importantly - your Walk for Love bib to wear on the day. Your bib will display the name of who you are walking in memory of and your team name (if applicable). 

Our Walk for Love is a family friendly and pet friendly event. Everyone is welcome!

To register, click on the 'register' button and you will be prompted to choose your preferred walk time.

Are you registering a team or joining an existing team?

If you are, you must first register yourself (and anyone else from your household). Before you complete your registration, you will be asked if you wish to create a team or join an existing team. You will be asked to register your team name or use the search function to find your team.

At the event we have available:

• BBQ + cold drinks
• Homemade cakes
• Coffee Cart 
• A small range of merchandise will be for sale i.e. t-shirts, caps, dog bandana's. Stocks are limited.

Accessibility

Free 3 hour parking is available along Jeffcott St, Ward St, and Strangways Tce.

2 hour event parking may apply once the football fixture is confirmed. We will advise you if our Walk is impacted.

There are limited disabled parking spaces available at the venue.

Walkers can be dropped off at the entrance to the College – look for the pink flags.

Registration Ticket and Welcome Pack Details

Register before 5pm on Friday 26 May 2023.

Register before 14 May and a Welcome pack with everything you need to know about the event -  will be posted to you.

If you miss this deadline - your pack will be available for you to collect at the Walk. Please come to the Event Info Tent to collect.

2023 Walk for Love commemorative t-shirt & cap

Walk for Love is The Mary Potter Foundation's biggest fundraising event of the year. What we will be able to do to care for palliative patients and their families in the months ahead, relies heavily on how much we can  raise at this event.

To say thank you to participants who go the extra-mile and fundraise for us, our event partners have given us a limited supply of commemorative t-shirts to give away.  

We are delighted to let you know that when your fundraising reaches $150 (including your own donation) we will post to you a 2023 Walk for Love commemorative t-shirt to wear on the day.

As an added bonus, once you reach $250, you will also receive a Mary Potter Foundation cap!

Don't forget to let us know your t-shirt size when registering.
